Southwell u3a

The aims of the Film Appreciation Group are to watch mostly challenging, sometimes radical films, followed by the opportunity to discuss and analyse the film as an art form. We do occasionally see a mainstream popular film.

A  series of questions are used to provide us with a loose framework to structure our discussion. This guide can be found in the Group Information section under the heading 'Questions'

At the end of each meeting the group selects a film for the following month from the programme at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham. Individual group members make their own arrangements to watch the film, either on their own or with other group members.
