You may remember that back in May Southwell u3a took on Collingham u3a in a four team Quiz-off to decide a winner. Collingham beat us by coming first and second. At the end of October we had a very similar return match in Girton Village Hall, with a delicious ‘fuddle’ lunch and, I am pleased to say, it was a very much closer affair, finishing with Collingham coming first and fourth and Southwell second and third but our total points just beat their total points – close but, nevertheless, a victory! So, it’s one-all. We very much hope that we will be able to continue our inter-u3a quizzing; perhaps in May and October.
If you would like to come and join in the fun, the Quiz Group meets the third Thursday in the month. We quiz in teams, so you can easily hide in a team: when you don’t know an answer, you nod sagely and agree with the most confident! No one’s ego is dented.
