Vegetable Still Life — April Meeting
The Photography Group had another busy meeting in April, with the theme of Vegetable Still Life. Members were asked to choose vegetables and create a sequence of three images: an artistic composition of the raw vegetables, a shot during preparation, and finally the vegetables ready to eat.
Three members shared their results: Karen (our newest member), Anita, and Jim. The results were creative and varied — Karen photographed her vegetables before, during and ready to eat; Jim turned his onions into a beautifully presented soup; and Anita documented her vegetable dish in the making. Who knows — MasterChef for Amateurs could be their next port of call!
First Outing of the Year — Rufford Park
We also enjoyed our first outdoor outing of 2026 at Rufford Park in April. It was a little nippy, especially for those who arrived at 07:15, but we were rewarded with a wide variety of images. More local trips are planned throughout the rest of the year.
