Exploring Intentional Camera Movement (ICM)
The Photography Group has gone a little wild this month! Normally, photographers are trained to keep their camera or smartphone as steady as possible to avoid blurry results. However, this month members explored Intentional Camera Movement (ICM)
By slowing down the shutter speed and moving the camera while taking a shot, you can inject a dynamic sense of movement into your images. The results can be abstract, surreal, emotional, or simply unique—the choice is entirely yours.
Mastering ICM takes practice, but it can be achieved using either a digital camera or a smartphone. We hope you enjoy this month's creative gallery!

The Photography Group is always happy to hear from anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating pastime. If you would like to join the group, please contact Group Leader Graeme Stewardson via the Southwell u3a website.
