Harmonies & High Spirits!
September saw a lively gathering of around 20 singers, all eager to fine-tune our vibrant repertoire of sea shanties and timeless 60sclassics. We were thrilled to welcome four enthusiastic new members— your energy was infectious, and we hope to see you again soon!
At our October meeting, we started learning a fresh sea shanty: The Wellerman, recently brought into the spotlight by the film Fisherman’s Friends. Our growing collection of shanties is proving to be a real crowd-pleaser, and this latest addition fits right in.
We also explored a classic gem from the Everly Brothers—All I Have to Do Is Dream, first released in 1958. Its simple yet beautiful two-part harmonies gave us a chance to produce some great sounds.
After listening to the original Everly Brothers’ recording, we gave it our own spin and thoroughly enjoyed the finished product!
Performance Ready! Our showstopper, Da Doo Ron Ron, has been polished to perfection and is now ready for the spotlight. We’d love to share it with you!
