Do you fancy playing bowls? The u3a Social Bowls group is keen to have some new members. Why not come along and have a go?
We play every Friday afternoon from April 24th to September 18th from 1.45pm to 4.15 pm at Farnsfield Bowls Club, New Hill, Farnsfield.
We will have an introductory coaching session for complete beginners on the first Friday (24th April) from one of the Farnsfield bowls coaches. However, if you are a beginner and not able to attend that week, it is not a problem, one of us will do an introductory session for you. After that you will be ready to join in with everyone else!
The aim of the group is to have a friendly, informal game of bowls. We draw teams from a hat, so you end up playing with different people each week. We also have a tea break so there is time for a chat. You can borrow bowls from Farnsfield Bowling Club if they you do not have your own. You just need to wear flat soled shoes, so as not to damage the grass. We charge £3 per session which goes to Farnsfield Bowling Club for the use of their green and equipment.
