Over the last few months our members have been out and about photographing other u3a groups in action – maybe you have experienced a camera being pointed at you during one of these visits!
So far we’ve visited over 19 other Groups from Bowls to Pickleball, from Longer Walks to Pins & Needles and from the Recorder Group to Scrabble. It has been a very interesting and enjoyable task for us and thank you to all those Groups who allowed us to take their photos. A selection of these images will be part of the u3a Exhibition at Southwell Library during September.
We’re also in the middle of our ‘on location’ summer programme, recently visiting Vicar Water Nature Reserve in Clipstone with Newstead Abbey in August and Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster to come in September.
Our theme for July/August was flower photography in either black and white or monochrome. The following images are an example of this project and the results have been some of the best we’ve done all year. We are always happy to talk to new members and if you are interested in photography either with a camera or a phone, Check out our Group Page and contact the Group Leader Graeme Stewardson for further information.
