The Practical Gardening Group 2 met in early June at Catherine’s home, located between Southwell and Oxton. We dodged the rain by some miracle and were treated to her wonderful large garden laid out over many years with amazing plants, including roses, trees, fruit, a wild garden, vegetables, together with a mature pond. Catherine is the gardening authority for both Groups 1 and 2 and after experiencing her garden we can understand why this is so.
The photos are of the Group, and two of many plants on display - a Nigella ‘Love-in-a mist’ and the most amazing New Zealand Flax being caught by the sun’s rays.
